Marn Norwich’s poetry readings are performances. She specializes in offering a light and even comedic take on life’s edgier moments and has a large repertoire of work to choose from to suit a range of occasions. Many of her pieces seek to find meaning and hope in life. But she promises, they are not maudlin! Please see Books for samples.

In 2008, she published her first collection of poetry, Wildflowers at my Doorstep (Karma Press). In 2009, the book won an international Independent Book Publisher Book Award for poetry (silver). She is currently circulating her second book for publication.

She’s written with the benefit of Canada Council and Ontario Arts Council grants and wrote and produced a play for the Toronto Fringe Festival. Since 2005, her primary focus has been poetry, and she’s read and performed her work at benefits, clubs and festivals around Vancouver, sometimes with the accompaniment of an ensemble of dancers and musicians.

She has taken classes in improv and is currently an acting student at Vancouver’s Actorium, were she is delving deeper into the art of truth-telling and performance.

Her readings are suitable for:

professional development days
staff retreats
yoga studios/health centre launches
