Welcome to Vancouver Writing Courses!

We offer courses in Creative WritingEffective WritingWriting for the Web and ESL Writing! We teach on-site for your organization, out of the beautiful studio at Creative Coworkers and one-on-one.

Organizations hire us to:

  • provide engaging creative writing workshops to enhance personal development and team-building
  • train their staff in effective, persuasive professional writing
  • build and refine staff online writing skills
  • provide ESL language training and support to staff

Individuals hire us to:

We also provide creative, poetic performance for events ranging from conferences to professional development days, from staff retreats to fundraisers.

We offer free introductory classes through our Meetup group.

Current classes

This winter, VWC is offering two workshops out of the studio at Creative Coworkers:

Women’s Writing as Healing workshop series: Wednesdays 6:30-8:30, January 24 – February 14, 2018. $30 + GST per session or $120 to reserve your seat in all classes.

Creative Writing Power-Pack: Free intro Wednesday March 7, 6:30 – 8 p.m. Four-part series Wednesdays 6:30-8:30 p.m., March 14 – April 4, 2018. $35 + GST per session or $120 + GST for full course.

VWC has a Meetup group! Join us for workshops and classes in creative writing. We also offer free introductory classes on an ongoing basis.

Meetings provide new and seasoned writers with an opportunity to connect with local writers, dialogue about writing and the creative process, write to prompts and exercises designed to get us thinking and writing in new ways, get inspired and have fun!
